When adding a new contact in Grow CRM, the Referred By field helps you track how that person found your business. By default, Grow CRM includes a standard set of source options, but every business is different, and the channels that matter to you may not be covered out of the box.
That's where custom sources come in. Custom sources allow you to extend the Referred By field with your own options, tailored to the specific marketing channels, partnerships, or referral programs your business relies on. Whether you want to track leads from a recent trade show, a specific advertising campaign, or a partner network, custom sources give you the flexibility to capture that information consistently across all your contacts.

- Click the account name in the top left corner (next to the Grow CRM switcher).
- Click Account Settings.
- On the side menu, click Contact Sources.
- Click Create Source.
- Enter the contact source name.
- Click Save Contact Source.
