What Causes This Error?
This error occurs when your Microsoft 365 account is set up so that only a global or application administrator can authorise third-party apps. When a standard user tries to connect to Email Sync, Microsoft blocks the request and shows the “Need admin approval” error.
Resolve The "Need Admin Approval" Error
These steps need to be done by your Microsoft365 Administrator
- Go to https://entra.microsoft.com/
- Access the "User consent settings" secction.
- Ensure the "Allow user consent for apps - All users can consent for any app to access the organization's data." option is selected.
- Click Save.
